"The Golden Bear" won his first of a record six Masters Championships in 1963 when he defeated Tony Lema by one stroke. This rare Augusta National “Masters” 14-karat gold brooch was issued to a player’s wife following that memorable 1963 Masters tournament at Augusta National. The brooch measures 1 5/8” by 1 1/4”. The front bears a gold and green-bordered map of the United States with a green enameled flag stick stemming from Augusta GA. The reverse is engraved “Masters 1963” and stamped "Spalding & Co. 14K" at the bottom. The lovely keepsake comes in NM-MT condition with fine detail. A truly remarkable piece marking the beginning of Jack the Bear's dominant Masters legacy.
