Warren Spahn won 20 games in a season 13 times in his career en route to 363 wins overall. Imagine what he might have done had he not lost nearly four full years to military service in World War II (at ages 21-24). Spahn was the 1957 Cy Young Award winner and was the runner-up three times all during the period when just one award was given for both leagues. His 363 wins are more than any other left-handed pitcher in history and more than any other pitcher who played his entire career in the post-1920 lively ball era. Spahn is seldom excluded in any discussion of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball history and less so when talk turns to character and popularity.

This amazing completely original 1962 Warren Spahn road jersey features the picture perfect symmetry of flawless condition and optimal usage traits. One of the great uniform designs of the era 1962 marked the final year of the famed Tomahawk jersey style that had differentiated the boisterous Milwaukee Braves from their National League counterparts. The black felt Tomahawk is elegantly adorned with delicate gold-and-red stitching; the red felt script "Braves" on the front and his famed No. 21 front and back are nothing less than superb as is the iconic Braves mascot patch on the left sleeve. The jersey carries the Wilson Size 42 tag on the front-left tail; "Spahn Set 1 - 1962" is embroidered in black stitching on a tag on the back collar. The Hall of Famer has added a striking black Sharpie autograph to the front of the shirt across from his number adding the inscription "Best Wishes." Elevating this garment into elite status among known Spahn gamers is the pitchers own handwritten letter of provenance suggesting it originated from his personal holdings.

In addition to Spahns letter it also includes a LOA from MEARS (Grade A9.5).
