Celebrate the historic achievements of the 1962 San Francisco Giants with this exquisite 14-karat gold money clip presented to the team's starting shortstop, José Pagán. Featuring "National League Champions San Francisco Giants 1962" in raised relief on top, it showcases figural bats and a large baseball at center. Flip it over and you'll find "Jose Pagan 15" engraved and the "14K" hallmark. The beautifully crafted piece of jewelry weighs 42 grams and the value of the weight in gold alone is $1,500. Condition is NM with some minor scratches on the back.The first NL pennant winners of the 162-game era, the Giants won 103 regular season games and then two out of three in a tie-breaking playoff series against the Dodgers before falling to the Yankees in a thrilling seven-game 1962 World Series. Willie Mays, Orlando Cepeda and Willie McCovey headlined the Bay's power brigade, while a formidable pitching staff had four starters win between 16 and 24 games. This uber-talented team fielded five players who would go on to win four MVPs and three Cy Young awards. Pagan had his best big-league season with a .259 average, 150 hits, 73 runs, seven homers and 57 RBI to finish 11th in NL MVP voting.
