The 1961 Green Bay Packers coached by the immortal Vince Lombardi registered an 11-3 regular season record to claim the NFL West Division crown. Scoring an average of 27.9 points per game they finished first in that category across the league. In the NFL Championship game they blasted the New York Giants 37-0 as Packers QB Bart Starr threw three touchdown passes. This lot include a team-signed MacGregor white football that boasts 37 signatures in mostly faded black ink. Noteworthy autographs include Hall of Famers Starr Paul Hornung Jim Taylor Willie David Forrest Gregg and Willie Wood. Other notable signatures include Ben Davidson Enlem Tunnell Jerry Kramer Max McGee and Herb Adderley. A great piece of football memorabilia signifying the start of the great Green Bay Packers dynasty from the 60s.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
