This 1961-62 Fleer Basketball #8 Wilt Chamberlain true rookie cards features beautiful color with a near-perfect image of the Hall of Famer. Corners and edges are slightly worn. Borders are very clean and surface is smooth. Print and color quality are crisp and bright. Cards from this set suffer from notoriously bad centering and crookedness in the frame. This one is outstanding in both regards. The card is centered 65/35 horizontally and 60/40 vertically. Fresh to the hobby from an ancient collector who says he pulled it straight from a '61 Fleer pack six decades ago, we just submitted it prior to this auction. PSA has rated it EX 5, but it could easily be a half or full point higher based on eye-appeal alone. One of the hobby's top rookie cards and, without question, the most dominant center of all time.
