With labeling dating to the 1961-67 period this 35 inch 33.7 ounce Adirondack model M63 Willie Mays professional model bat is un-cracked and exhibits evidence of heavy use. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. Cleat marks can be seen on the back barrel. Also visible on the bat is a water stain on the top of the barrel. The model number (M63) is stamped into the knob. Mays added his signature and career home run total inscription 660 on the front barrel in black marker. Considering that Mays retired with 660 home runs and the bats tremendous evidence of usage its fair to assume that this club contributed to that lofty number.
