Frank Robinson was one of baseballs great gamers. As Rookie of the Year in 1956 and an MVP in both leagues (with the Reds in 1961 and the Orioles in 66) he developed a reputation as an aggressive outfielder and hard-charging baserunner. The American League Triple Crown winner in 1966 Robinson amassed 586 home runs and ended his career just 57 hits shy of the 3000-hit club. His intelligence and leadership helped him become the Major Leagues first African-American field manager in 1975 when he skippered the Cleveland Indians. It is with Baltimore however that Robinsons legacy is most entrenched. Fellow HoFer and teammate Brooks Robinson stated He solidified the club. We became a great team when he came to know us and how much he could do for all of us.

Robinsons 1961-64 era Hillerich & Bradsby model P89 professional model bat is uncracked and shows evidence of excellent use. Several ball marks and ball stitch marks are visible on the left barrel. Also visible on the bat are blue bat rack streaks. The model number (P89) is stamped into the knob. Also visible on the knob is Robinson's number (20) in black marker. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 32.1 ounces

Includes a LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (GU8)

Also comes with a photo of him signing the bat.
