Already a former MVP and 14-time All-Star by the time the World Series rolled around in 1970 Brooks Robinson's Hall of Fame ticket was probably already punched. But then something extraordinary happened as the 1970 World Series started playing out on television screens across the land. On baseballs biggest stage Robinson put on a spectacular offensive and defensive exhibition winning the World Series Most Valuable Player Award in leading the Orioles to victory over the Reds. Generally acclaimed as the greatest defensive third-baseman of all time Brooks won 16 consecutive Gold Glove Awards during his career which ties him with pitcher Jim Kaat for the second most all-time for any player at any position.

This Rawlings SM6 Stan Musial retail model glove was used by the Hall of Famer and quite probably the nicest and most gracious former ballplayer who ever lived. It shows excellent game use has an old faded Robinson done by the equipment manager in laundry marker on the bottom of the left thumb. There is also some faded illegible writing below that. It is signed four times by Brooks on the portside one on each of the four fingers. The first two are done in ballpoint ink rating a 9 and an 8 while the second two are done in black marker rating a 9 and a 4 due to fading. The glove comes with a Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication and another from noted glove expert Denny Eskin along with a signed letter from Robinson attesting to the game use and his noting that he had signed the glove four times.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
