Awesome VG-EX PSA 4 full unused ticket to the deciding Game 7 of the 1960 World Series between the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates played at Forbes Field on October 13 1960 regarded by many as one of the most exciting games in World Series history. In this incredible Series the Yankees would dominate the statistics winning games by the scores of 16-3 10-0 and 12-0. The Pirates kept themselves in with wins of 6-4 3-2 and 5-2. So it would all come down to a deciding Game 7. The Yankees had built up a 7-4 lead going into the 8th inning and looked to be in control. With one on Bill Virdon hit what should have been an easy double play ball to Tony Kubek when as chance would have it the ball hit a pebble and caromed into Kubek's throat knocking him out of the game and allowing the inning to continue. With 2 outs and 2 on the Yankees still held on to a 7-6 lead. Pinch hitter Hall Smith stepped to the plate and delivered a 3 run home run to put the Pirates in the lead 9-7. But the Pirates could not hold the lead as both Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra drove in runs to tie things up and send the game into the bottom of the 9th. Bill Mazeroski leading off the 9th against Bill Terry hit the 2nd pitch he saw over Yogi Berra's head out in left field and the rest is Baseball History. What an exciting Game 7 it had been to cap off a historic World Series.

What a game the original holder of this ticket missed! VG-EX PSA 4 full unused ticket presents a very clean NM or a little better looking from the front. Strong color and printing. Problem and reason for the VG-EX rating is a 3/16" by 2" long strip of paper loss to the bottom of the ticket on the back. Awesome looking ticket to one of the greatest games ever played. One of only 2 VG-EX PSA 4's with nothing rated higher.
