Like its companion set in this sale, this example includes the full complement of legendary cards: Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Al Kaline, Brooks Robinson, Bob Gibson, Bill Mazeroski, Nellie Fox, Whitey Ford, Ernie Banks, and the 1960 Rookie Star cards of Carl Yastrzemski and Jim Kaat. The 1960 Topps issue is widely regarded as one of the most visually striking sets of the entire vintage era, and complete examples continue to be highly sought after by both set builders and player collectors drawn to individual stars within the checklist.
