The 1960 Topps "Master and Mentor" card (#7) is one of the great combo cards in the vintage Topps hobby, pairing Say Hey Willie Mays with his San Francisco Giants manager Bill Rigney in a warm posed photograph. The reverse notes that Rigney's "No. 1 star is Willie Mays."

 

This exceptional example has been signed by both subjects: Mays delivers a bold, full-signature blue ink auto across the center of the card, and Rigney adds his signature below. Encapsulated by PSA with a card grade of GD 2 and a PSA/DNA autograph grade of 8. With Mays having passed in 2024, signed examples of this already scarce vintage card will only become more difficult to find. An iconic piece of Giants history bearing the signature of arguably the greatest all-around player who ever lived.
