This extraordinary large-format, original Type 1 team photograph of the 1960-61 NBA Champion Boston Celtics has been autographed by all eleven players plus the trainer. Led by center Bill Russell, whose reign as the greatest winner in team sports history began in 1950s, this Celtics squad finished atop the Eastern Conference with a 55-22 record. They would meet the St. Louis Hawks in the NBA Finals and handle them easily in a 4-1 gentleman's sweep. This marked the third consecutive NBA title and fourth overall for the Celtics franchise, a tally that would grow to an unprecedented eight straight and eleven overall by end of the decade. The special team-signed photo originated from the personal collection of legendary head coach Red Auerbach, pictured in the front row in his patented plaid suit alongside team president Walter A. Brown.

The photo measures 11-by-14 inches and remains in EX overall condition with clean borders, one bum corner, and a few minor wrinkle creases the surface. The reverse is stamped by longtime Boston sports photographer, Jerry Buckley. All twelve autographs are penned in sharp, legible blue ink averaging 7/10 in our book. They include (left to right, starting with front row) #25 K.C. Jones, #14 Bob Cousy, #21 Bill Sharman, #23 Frank Ramsey, Buddy LeRoux (trainer), #16 Tom "Satch" Sanders, #15 Tommy Heinsohn, #17 Gene Conley, #6 Bill Russell, #20 Gene Guarilia, #18 Jim Loscutoff and #24 Sam Jones. Incredibly, eight of the eleven players on this roster are enshrined in the Naismith Hall of Fame. One of the three not honored in Springfield, Mass. -- Conley -- left the NBA to become a four-time All-Star pitcher in the majors. We can't imagine there is another team signed Type 1 example out there in the hobby. Amazing opportunity to own perhaps the only one.

Includes LOA from PSA/DNA designating the photograph as a Type 1 original. Additional LOA from Beckett for the autographs.
