Produced to promote the popular Home Run Derby television program this Mickey Mantle card is part of a larger 20 card set. Mantle's card is the most highly sought after card in a series that also includes Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews and a host of other sluggers from the day. This card has a striking NM-MT appearance. It is fairly well centered and features a great image of Mickey Mantle taking a hack. Corners appear razor sharp. We can only attribute the head scratchingly low VG-EX 4 grade assigned by PSA to a very small hairline surface wrinkle at the upper right corner. Tough to find in any condition, this example provides incredible eye appeal for the grade.
