This is the only recognized rookie card of the NBA's biggest winner. This is also the key to the 1957 Topps set one of the toughest and most important basketball issues ever produced. In 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics Bill Russell won 11 championships. While Russell did lead the league in rebounding four times averaged 22.5 rebounds per game during his career and 15.1 points per game his impact cannot be measured by statistics alone. This 12-time All-Star was awarded the MVP five times and was one of the finest shot blockers in NBA history. This card is graded a PSA EX 5. The card has amazing centering which is very tough for this set and shows great color both front and back.
