It was the crowning moment that brought a World Series title to somewhere other than the Metro New York environs for the first time in nine years a title in fact carted all the way to the Midwest marking a real transformative moment in Major League Baseball history. After only five years in Milwaukee the talent-laden Braves put aside three runner-up finishes out of that span to find themselves in the World Series against the old guard New York Yankees.
