It was the crowning moment that brought a World Series title to somewhere other than the Metro New York environs for the first time in nine years a title in fact carted all the way to the Midwest marking a real transformative moment in Major League Baseball history. After only five years in Milwaukee the talent-laden Braves put aside three runner-up finishes out of that span to find themselves in the World Series against the old guard New York Yankees. Lineups loaded with eventual Hall of Famers clashed but ultimately it was the Braves No. 2 starter Lew Burdette who defeated the Bronx crew three times and nailed down the crown for the young ball club.

This spectacular ring was awarded to Braves coach Johnny Riddle a former journeyman catcher who played in a mere 98 games in his career over seven major league seasons curiously strung out over an 18-years span from 1930-48. He then spent a decade as a coach in the National League with five different clubs including his two-year stint with the Braves from 1956-57.

In sharp contrast to the occasionally over-the-top designs of modern World Series rings this simple and elegant presentation pays tribute to that historic World Series with a half-carat brilliant-cut diamond at the center of a base path design with rubies for the bases. Milwaukee World Champions in raised text surrounds; one shank features the engraved John Riddle and the world Coach top and bottom of the classic Braves script while the other shank has the iconic Screaming Brave and the year 1957. Ring manufacturer Balfour 14K is stamped inside the band. The Size 13 ring exhibits minor wear and presents in superb fashion with crisp detailing throughout.
