A monumental complete run of the 1956 Topps Baseball set, all 340 cards, presented in a mix of the scarcer white-back and more common gray-back print varieties that collectors chase to complete both versions of the set. Topps' 1956 design remains one of the most beloved of the decade, pairing a large color portrait with a smaller circular action photo and a bold two-tone nameplate banner identifying team and position.
The set is stacked with legends, headlined by Mickey Mantle's iconic #135, Willie Mays #130, Hank Aaron #31, Jackie Robinson's poignant final Topps card #30, Roberto Clemente #33, Sandy Koufax's early card #79, Roy Campanella #101, Yogi Berra #110, Ted Williams #5, Ernie Banks #15, Al Kaline #20, and Harmon Killebrew's rookie #164, alongside star-power depth from Warren Spahn, Ted Kluszewski, Dusty Rhodes, Roger Craig, Phil Rizzuto, Nellie Fox, Gil Hodges, Duke Snider, Johnny Podres, Billy Martin, Whitey Ford, and Don Mueller.
Each card carries Topps' entertaining cartoon-illustrated reverse detailing career highlights and full batting or pitching records. Assembling a complete 340-card 1956 Topps set, particularly with both back varieties represented, is a significant undertaking increasingly difficult to accomplish raw, making this a tremendous opportunity for vintage set collectors and Hall of Fame supercollectors alike to acquire the entire run in one transaction.
