This second-year Sandy Koufax card captures not only the aura of one of baseball's greatest pitchers, but also bears the personal touch of the man himself with his bold autograph in fitting Dodger blue. The 1956 Topps #79 card has been graded VG+ 3.5 by PSA, while Sandy's thick blue marker signature, ideally positioned below his face, has been given a perfect 10 autograph grade by PSA/DNA.
The card itself is crease-free with bright colors and mostly clean borders with some corner wear and centering issues. But it's all about the autograph. We've yet to come across a Koufax signature on any of his 1950s cards that truly measures up to this striking beauty! This unique dual-grade gem isn't just a piece of sports history; it's a connection to a bygone era, a tangible link to baseball's glory days when Koufax dominated on the rubber and fans of 'Dem Bums in the Ebbets Field stands were in tune with every pitch.
