Chuck Tanner made a memorable debut with the Milwaukee Braves on April 12, 1955 when he became just the second pinch-hitter in MLB history to homer on his first career pitch. He wore this offered road jersey in 1956 and again during the team's magical 1957 World Championship season when the Braves changed their Indian Head patch that is sewn on the left sleeve. On the left front tail is the Wilson manufacturer's label indicating size "42" with the wash instructions below, followed by a white felt patch reading "Tanner 56" in red chain stitch. The red and black felt scripted "Braves" is sewn across the zippered front, transversing the stylish red and black piping that is repeated at each sleeve cuff. The tomahawk logo patch below the team nickname is a complicated interplay of chenille and felt in black red and gold. Tanner's player No. "18" appears on the front and back of the gray garment in red on black felt. The heavy flannel shows a solid and consistent amount of wear throughout in the form of light spot soiling and pilling in the wool fabric. With the exception of the restored Indian Head patch on the left sleeve, there appear to be no other alterations to this striking gamer from Milwaukee’s one and only World Series run.

As a bonus, Tanner's 1955, 1956 and 1957 Topps cards as a Milwaukee Brave are included. His 1955 rookie card #161 is graded PSA NM-MT (OC) and #69 from 1956 is graded PSA EX-MT 6. 1957 #392 is ungraded and appears VG.
