An iconic second-year Topps card of baseball's beloved home run king, this 1955 Topps #47 presents Hank Aaron as a young Milwaukee Braves outfielder. The classic horizontal design features a large portrait of Aaron in his blue "M" cap against a vivid yellow backdrop, accompanied by an inset image of him at the plate, the Braves' period team logo and a facsimile "Henry Aaron" signature. The reverse recounts his rapid rise from Class B ball to a full-time Braves outfield job, noting that he hit .336 at Eau Claire in 1952 and was "the sensation of the League" at Jacksonville in 1953, where he led the circuit with a .362 batting average along with the most RBIs, runs, hits and doubles. His 1954 rookie line shows 13 home runs and a .280 average.

From those modest beginnings, Aaron built one of the most accomplished careers in sports history. He won the 1957 National League MVP and World Series title with Milwaukee, and he retired with 755 home runs, a record that stood for more than three decades, along with the all-time marks for RBIs (2,297) and total bases (6,856). His 3,771 hits rank third all-time, and he was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1982.

This example has been graded VG 3 by PSA (cert. #160333631). Despite wear consistent with the grade, the card retains bright color and strong visual appeal, offering an accessible entry point for one of the most desirable Aaron cards of the 1950s.
