This lot includes two near sets from the 1954 and 1955 Bowman football issues and includes several duplicates. The 1954 set includes key rookie cards of #23 George Blanda and #4 Doug Atkins. Some of the big stars included in this lot are #8 Norm Van Brocklin (2), #40 Otto Graham (2), #42 Y.A. Tittle (2), #55 Frank Gifford, #128 John Lattner the 1953 Heisman Trophy Winner. Cards missing from this set are: #17, 72, 78, 79, 89, 93, 107, 109, (120 out of 128) 75 duplicates.
The 1955 Bowman football near set includes key rookie cards of #42 John Henry Johnson, #52 Pat Summerall and #101 Bob St Clair(2). Other stars include: #1 Doak Walker(4), #7 Frank Gifford(3), #32 Norm Van Brocklin(3), #37 Lou Groza(2), #72 Y.A.Tittle, #152 Tom Landry(2), #158 Chuck Bednarik. Cards missing from this set are: #9, 21, 24, 25, 26, 41, 43, 44, 62, 70, 88, 97, 98, 99, 117, 121, 122, 144, (142 out of 160) 83 duplicates. Both the 54 and 55 sets are in the mid grade range of EX-NM some higher some lower. A great opportunity for collectors trying to start on complete their collection.
