Aramis Dandoy was a USC Trojans tailback in 1955 who remains in the Rose Bowl record books. On New Years Day 59 years ago he returned a punt 86 yards for a touchdown against Ohio State. Despite his remarkable run in the rain and mud the Trojans bowed to the Buckeyes that day 20-7. This lot includes the speedy tailbacks USC lettermans sweater that was issued to him in 1954. The wool sweater which has had its size tag cut out sports the two-color (orange and burgundy) SC logo on the left front chest and the Superior Silverwoods manufacturers tag on the inside of the neck. Dandoy autographed in black fine-point marker the orange outline of the sweaters SC letterman's logo. The autograph shows slight fading into the cloth material but is still clearly legible.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
