Mickey Mantle signed this specimen of his 1953 Topps card #82 in stunning blue sharpie (grading a resounding "10") on the front. This is a particularly outstanding and beautifully signed example of one of Mantle's most impressive and classic early baseball cards. Encapsulated and labeled "GEM MT 10" (relating to the autograph) by PSA/DNA. Mantle-signed baseball cards especially those dating from the 1950s have always been highly prized by autograph collectors. This particular card dates from his third season with the Yankees and is the second Mantle card ever issued by Topps. Although technically VG-EX the key visual elements such as centering vibrant color and registration make for an outstanding aesthetic presentation. This is an outstanding early signed Mantle card in all respects with a flawless and ideally placed signature.
