The 1953 Bowman baseball series of 160 cards is unequivocally Bowman's crowning achievement. Few would argue that this set by virtue of its unexcelled color texture and flawless detail is the legacy of sport trading cards from the 1950's. Others certainly had their super-human rookies scarce series or other tormenting intrigues but the 1953 Bowman is the consummate baseball card. Such is the opinion of the consignor of this set whom after trading away his entire boyhood collection in his youth for a nearly complete collection of Sport magazines resumed his passion decades later in adulthood. His sole focus was this set his unforgotten favorite. This 1953 Bowman complete set is the result of his 15-year gathering of singularly pleasing cards in PSA 7 grade or better. All but one card in this fully graded set is NM PSA 7 or better. Set breakdown is as follows:
