Royalty in the field of card collecting Mickey Mantle’s 1952 Topps issue is the most recognized and coveted post-war issued baseball card, and next to the T206 Honus Wagner, stands as the icon of the hobby. At first glance the offered example displays eye appeal matching examples that have commanded six-figure prices of late. Closer examination under the intense scrutiny of PSA reveals that the card has undergone a subtle alteration at the lower left corner. That said, its virtues are undeniable, including full, even borders and original edges that frame a striking image of the young New York Yankee superstar. EX-MT to NM in appearance, it has been slabbed PSA AUTHENTIC (ALTERED).
