Crystal clear 7 1/4" by 17" original black & white photo of the 1951 Southern California Trojans football team. Players coaches(including the legendary Jess Hill) and other members of the team are pictured lined up on the steps of a campus building. Probably the 2 most prominent members of that squad were halfback/defensive back Frank Gifford who went on to a Hall of Fame career with the New York Giants and end Ron Miller who became Walt Disney's son-in law and is the former President and CEO of the Walt Disney Company. Al Carmichael(Packers 1953-58 Broncos 1960-61) Bob Van Doren (49ers 1953) Pat Cannamela(Texans 1952) all played in the NFL. Quarterback Dean Schneider was drafted by the New York Yanks but did not play. The 1951 Trojans started out strong by winning their first 7 games but faded at the end losing their final 3. Framed to a size of 7 3/4" by 17 1/2". Vintage black wood frame has several nicks and dings.
