Very appealing lot of 3 Hall of Famers with back attached from the very popular 1951 Topps Connie Mack All-Star series - Honus Wagner Tris Speaker and Jimmy Collins. At first glance this fresh to the hobby group from the original buyer present as EX-MT. All are well centered with super clean front and backs. Colors are sharp and photo images are clear and crisp. Corners are all EX-MT or better. However their are some small flaws which would prevent them from receiving an EX-MT technical grade. They are:
James J. Collins - Card appears never folded but there is a small barely noticeable surface wrinkle at top right corner on the front. There is also a small 1/2" wrinkle at the center of the bottom border.
Tristam E. Speaker - From front card is looks crease free and appears to have never been folded. However on the back there are 2 faint crease lines along the pair of vertical fold lines at the bottom. There is also a very faint 1 1/2" surface wrinkle up and down at the center of the back.
John Peter Wagner - From front card is looks crease free and appears to have never been folded. The back has a small 3/4 inch crease diagonally up from the left corner bottom as well as a faint 1 1/2" surface wrinkle up and down at the center of the back.
Although definitely NOT EX-MT in technical grade the trio easily displays as such from the fronts.
