This obscure advertising poster depicts mound master Bob Lemon promoting New Departure bicycle brakes. Unveiled in 1951 it is wonderfully compelling in terms of color and imagery. The paper stock poster measures 14" x 20-1/2". We note that there a neat horizontal and vertical fold line suggesting that the ad was quarter-folded for mailing to retailers. Formerly part of the famed Barry Halper Collection Lemon has signed the upper left quadrant "To Barry Best Wishes Bob Lemon" in blue sharpie (9/10). EX/MT condition. Framed to overall dimensions of 17-1/2" x 24". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
