One of the events during the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies of 1951 was a game played between the Philadelphia Athletics and the Brooklyn Dodgers. From that Doubleday Field meeting there emerged this autographed baseball. Signed by players and a couple of dignitaries we find 24 pennings on this OAL (Harridge) ball. Cheering his beloved Athletics that day was the immortal Jimmie Foxx whose autograph appears on the north panel. Connie Mack and Jimmy Dykes occupy the sweet spot then identified about the surface are Eddie Joost Cookie Lavagetto Red Barber Dick Fowler Jackie Robinson Ray Murray Gus Zernial Bobby Shantz John Kucab Pete Suder (signed twice) Erv Palica Duke Snider Claude Haring (announcer) Lou Limmer Bob Hooper Wally Moses Jocko Conlan Tom Oliver and two others. An outstanding ball holding strong signatures. This ball last sold at auction in 2006 for $4250. Graded an astounding MINT+ 9.5 overall by PSA/DNA. Signatures grade "10." Ball grade "9."

Includes a full LOA from PSA/DNA (Overall Grade: 9.5).
