The 1951 Bowman #305 baseball card of Willie Mays is the only recognized rookie card of this legendary Hall of Famer. In 1951 Mays started off the season slow but finally broke out with a home run against fellow Hall of Famer Warren Spahn. He finished the season batting .274 and hitting 20 home runs and 68 RBI’s giving fans a glimpse of what was to come in his long and mythical career. This 1951 Bowman #305 Willie Mays rookie card has been graded a PSA VG+ 3.5. The card is off-center towards the left and bottom borders and exhibits moderate general handling wear but is free from creasing or staining that is common for the issue. Nice collector grade rookie of the Say Hey Kid.
