This 1951 Bowman #253 Mickey Mantle rookie card has been newly graded PSA VG 3. The front pictures Mantle in a follow-through batting pose, looking back over his right shoulder in his New York cap, with the black "Mickey Mantle" nameplate box at upper right and the period's signature sky-and-cloud background art.

 

The card shows rounded corners and visible surface wear consistent with the VG 3 grade, along with light edge toning, but the image itself remains bright with good color retention and no creasing through the central photo. The reverse carries Mantle's rookie-year biography, height, weight, and 1950 Joplin statistics beneath the "No. 253 in the 1951 Series" heading and Bowman Gum copyright. A certified example of the hobby's most significant post-war rookie card, freshly encapsulated and graded.
