From 1947 and then again from 1954 to 57 Ben Agajanian played as the New York Giants football teams place-kicker. He spent a total of 20 seasons in the NFL and made a name for himself by his prolific scoring. And he did it all by kicking with a right foot that had one-third of it surgically amputated by virtue of a freak elevator accident that crushed four of his toes while he was kicking field goals for the University of New Mexico during the early 1940s. Agajanian with the help of a cobbler resumed his kicking career and went on to have a healthy NFL tenure by virtue of a specially designed square-toed boot. This is the leather size 7 right shoe that Agajanian wore during his time with the New York Football Giants in which he booted 46 field goals and 157 extra points. The black shoe comes complete with all seven cleats still intact as well as the original shoe laces.
