Official American League (Harridge) ball is boldly signed "Frank Baker" (8-9/10) in ink across the side panel. The official ball stampings are lightly faded, and the ball is moderately toned with some moisture staining evident. Shellac over the signature panel has yellowed, however the ball still displays very well. Baker is considered perhaps the finest third baseman in the pre-war era. He was given his famed nickname after his home run heroics in the 1911 World Series and went on to lead the league in homers for three more consecutive years. Baker passed away in 1963. His signature alone on a ball is extremely rare. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
