Outstanding original United Press/Acme Photo news photo from 2/14/1950 picturing Jackie Robinson during the filming of the "Jackie Robinson Story". Crystal clear photo shows Jackie Robinson posed behind the batting cage with a "Montreal Royals" teammate.(Actually Pinky Woods of the Hollywood Stars). Original wire service paper description still attached to back. Location of the field on which they are playing is LaPalma Park in Anaheim, California, which served as a location for several of the ballparks shown in the production. Photo does have some creasing but nothing which breaks the paper surface. Great shot of Jackie Robinson in his prime, fresh off his 1949 National League Most Valuable Player campaign.
