Issued at the peak of Ted Williams' career prime and the height of post-war baseball fever, the 1950 Bowman #98 Ted Williams captures the Splendid Splinter in the year he posted a .317 average before departing for Korea as a Marine fighter pilot.
The 1950 Bowman set was among the first to adopt a realistic portrait style that would influence card design for decades. Graded BVG VG-EX 4 by Beckett, this card presents cleanly with strong color and honest wear appropriate to its 75-year age.
