Great looking Bucky Harris manager of the San Diego Padres from the very scarce and desirable 1950 Hage's Ice Cream San Diego regional food issue. Harris named to the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a manager in 1975 spent his whole life in baseball as a player manager and front office executive from 1916 through 1962. As a manager he won 3 pennants and captured 2 World Series Championships. After piloting the New York Yankees to a World Championship in 1947 he finished 3rd in 1948 and was promptly fired and replaced by Casey Stengel. He led San Diego to a 4th place finish in 1949 and was back in the big leagues with Washington in 1950. Nice clean card with sharp photographic image. EX+/EX-MT looking condition card measures 2 5/8" by 3 1/8".
