ADDENDUM: 1988 Calgary medal is not an official Olympic participation medal; it is simply a 1988 Calgary bronze commemorative medal made by Jostens. Lot 441 features an official participation medal from the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
Impressive run of 16 Winter Olympics participation medals (plus one commemorative), starting with 1948 St. Moritz (5th Winter Olympiad) and ending at 2010 Vancouver (XXI Olympiad). All but four medals come with their original presentation cases. The 2010 Vancouver medal even includes the athlete recipient's certificate/diploma (South Korean speedskater). The medals remain in VF condition on average, with some faring better or worse from age and wear. Cases/boxes vary in condition as images show.
