Interesting late 1940's strip card issue featuring actual black & white photos with a distinctive blue tint. About 1/3 of the consists of Hall of Famers both contemporary and from the past. Condition ranges from VG to NM or better with the majority appearing to be cut on or outside the blue lines. Hall of Fame players included are: #7 Ralph Kiner 10 Luke Appling 16 Joe DiMaggio 18 Mel Ott (Both with and w/o Team) 20 Warren Spahn 22 Lou Boudreau 29 Lou Gehrig 30 Johnny Mize Hank Greenberg 36 Jackie Robinson 43 Bobby Feller and 44 Ted Williams. #36 Jackie Robinson VG SGC 40 and Clint Hartung NM/MT SGC 88 have been graded.
Included are variations for #18 Ott(No Team) 41 Thomson(No #) 47 Hartung(No #)(W/Black printing) and Keller(No#).
#1 3 5 and 7 Kiner have reverse images on the back from the original printing.
Missing only #2 Durocher 34 Slaughter 39 H. Walker for completion.
Set comes in a beautiful M. J. Roop custom binder.
