Interesting lot of 5 high number gray background variation cards from the 1948 Bowman basketball set including Hall of Famers Buddy Jeanette and Arnie Risen. The final color process was never added leaving the cards with a drab gray background. As is the norm all cards appear to be hand cut from a sheet. All photo images are sharp. Players are:
#38 Buddy Jeanette(HOF) - Well centered about EX in appearance with a bit of a rough cut at top and some moderate staining at top back.
#44 Arnie Johnson EX/NM SGC 80 - Super clean card with good centering. Load of eye appeal.
#48 Ed Sadowski - Very well centered with moderate stain along left edge. Super clean back. Small miscut at lower left corner.
#58 Arnie Risen(HOF) - Very well centered super clean example would be EX-MT but for 3/8" divot at lower left corner.
#70 Walter Budko - Very nicely centered EX or better looking card but with some staining around edges.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
