1946 American League Championship 10K Gold ring given Boston red Sox starting pitcher Joe Dobson. Dobson won 13 against 7 losses with a 3.24 ERA in 32 Games(24 starts) for the American League Champion Red Sox in 1946. In the World Series he pitched a 6-3 complete game victory in Game 5 with all 3 Cardinal runs unearned. He would play 14 years in the majors 9 with Boston. Large 45 point real diamond at center of a baseball diamond set atop a black stone infield and gold bases with "AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS" surrounding. Crossed bat and ball design on one side with "1946" on the other. Inside stamped "10K" and engraved in script "Joe Dobson Boston Red Sox". Comes in the original ring box.
8/21/1998 LOA from the collector who originally bought the ring back in March of 1990.
