Autograph League-Bob Feller baseball signed by legendary New York Yankee Hall of Fame slugger Babe Ruth Hall of Fame pitcher Hal Newhouser the best pitcher during the 1940's Dizzy Trout Jack Salveson and Andy Karl. All signatures in the same steel-tip fountain pen black ink. Ruth has signed on a side panel in very nice 6/1o. Newhouser on the sweet spot also in about 6/10. Trout(5/10) Salveson(7+/10) Karl(5-6/10) are on all separate side panels. The ball was signed in the winter of 1943 at a bowling alley in Mount Vernon New York during a a charity match to sell U. S. Savings Series "E" bonds to support the war effort. The match featured professional baseball players and local bowlers. The signatures were obtained by the son of the couple who were in charge of the event. Ball itself has darkened over time but the signatures remain very readable.

Includes a one page letter written by the person who originally obtained the ball. (In our conversations with him he remembered that Ruth was a very good bowler)
