Nice lot of 3 All-Star press pins for game played in the city of Philadelphia.
1) The 1943 All-Star Game was held July 13 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia home of the Philadelphia Athletics. The American League won 5-3 behind Bobby Doerr's 3 run home run in the 2nd inning of the first game played at night. Pin has player batting on ball at the center of a baseball diamond with the words "All Star Game" and "Press" surrounding. Numbers "1 9 4and 3" are in the corners. Pin in very nice overall condition with an actual "safety" pin back.
2) The 1976 All-Star Game was held July 13 at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia home of the Philadelphia Phillies. The National League dominated the American 7-1 winning for the 5th time in a row. Pin features "Philadelphia atop stylized bell with "76" for bottom edge and Liberty Bell hanging below with "All Star Game Philadelphia" and an image of Veterans Stadium on the front. Pin in beautiful condition.
3) The 1996 All-Star Game was held July 9 1996 at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia home of the Philadelphia Phillies. The National League won 6-0 with Los Angeles Dodger catcher Mike Piazza being named the Most Valuable Player. Multi-colored pin has red and blue enamel highlights. "Phillies" at top above "All-Star Game" and "1996" over an outline of the Liberty Bell. "Balfour" stamped on back. Pin in beautiful condition.
