Paul Daffy Dean along with his famed brother Dizzy Dean played for the Gas House Gang St. Louis Cardinals in 1934 when they won the World Series Championship. From 1934 to 1935 with the Cardinals he won 19 games each year and pitched a no-hitter against the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1936 his career was cut short because of an arm injury and he was traded to the New York Giants after the 1939 season. His career record included 50 wins 34 losses and earned an average of 3.75. Presented is an exceptional New York Giants home jersey worn by Paul Dean in 1941. The white zipper front flannel jersey is lettered "Giants" across the front with the number "21" appearing on the reverse. All lettering and numerals appear in dark blue felt with red trim. Chain stitched "P Dean" appears in the collar with small red "41" stitched at the lower back tail. The jersey is completely original and unaltered displaying measurable game wear throughout. The zipper remains fully functional. An extremely attractive and desirable 1940's Giants home flannel worn by one half of the most colorful pitching duo of their era.

LOA from MEARS letter with an A9.5 grade.
