EX PSA 5 ticket stub to Game 1 of the 1940 World Series between the Detroit Tigers and Cincinnati Reds played on October 1 at Crosley Field in Cincinnati Ohio. 21 game winner Bobo Newsome pitched an 8 it 2 run game to stymie the Reds after their ace Paul Derringer was knocked out of the box in the 2nd inning. The Reds would rebound and eventually take the World Championship in 7 games. Crease free stub presents well with a nice clean front. Back has a light stain at center bottom edge. One of only 2 EX PSA 5's with just one stub and no full tickets graded higher for this game.
