This AL (Harridge) baseball came out of a prominent baseball broadcaster's collection and actually hung in his office. The ball has been signed by the 1940 Detroit Tigers (American League Champions) by 16. We believe this was signed at the World Series as it features the autographs of Hall of Famers - Clark Griffith (D. 1955) who is nearly impossible to find on a baseball and AL President - William Harridge (D. 1971).
Autographs that adorn the ball include: Schoolboy Rowe, Dick Bartell, Bruce Campbell, Barney McCosky, Rudy York, Pinky Higgins, Dutch Meyer, Billy Sullivan, Tuck Stainback, Frank Cullenbine, one unknown, and HOF'ers - Charlie Gehringer, Hank Greenberg (faded), and Earl Averill. Five autographs in total of Baseball Hall of Famers on this sphere! Unique one of a kind championship ball.
