Very good condition 1939 World Series (Cincinnati Reds at New York Yankees) features a beautiful rendition of All-Time Yankee and Hall of Fame Great Lou Gehrig batting on the cover. Yankee Stadium souvenir program has clean front and back covers with some wear and small creases to the spine. Appears upon close inspection the it was folded down the middle at one time(possibly at the game) but has been flat since with just a slight hint of a crease. Never scored program has clean inner pages loaded with articles player pictures and biographies statistics and interesting period ads. The Yankees took their 4th World Championship in a row and the first without their captain on the field Lou Gehrig who was forced into retirement at the beginning of the season by the disease that would eventually take his life. Outstanding program!
