There is just one authentic 1939 NFL Championship Game full ticket encapsulated by PSA to ever surface in the hobby and this is she! Not only is this an incredible artifact for Packer collectors it is perhaps the holy grail for football ticket collectors as there are no earlier known examples of NFL Championship full tickets period.
In the 7th NFL title game in league history the Green Bay Packers avenged their 1938 Championship game loss to the New York Giants by pounding the G-Men 27-0. Played in Milwaukee at State Fair Park instead of Green Bay to increase attendance the game drew a large crowd of 32379. It marked the Packers' 5th title and was the first shutout in NFL playoff history.
The reason for the PR rating is a small amount of paper loss on front at the top and bottom center where the ticket was once taped into an album. Otherwise the ticket presents VG-EX overall with just a crease along the perforation. It should be noted that SCP Auctions sold this very ticket in our Fall 2013 Premier Auction for $16204.
