Never was the arrival of a traveling baseball exhibition more celebrated than when Babe Ruth led a team of American "All-Stars" to Japan in 1934. Making the only overseas trip of his career Ruth proved that his charisma knew no cultural boundaries. The Sultan of Swat created a frenzy everywhere he went in Japan equal to or greater than that he inspired in the states. This OAL (Harridge) baseball commemorating that historic tour to "The Land of The Rising Sun" is signed by nineteen (19) members of the historic US team including Babe Ruth Lou Gehrig Jimmie Foxx Moe Berg Mack Gomez Gehringer Averill O'Doul Warstler Cascarella McNair Schroeder Hayes Brown Whitehill Ebling and Miller. The signatures in black pen rate between 3-8/10. The keys of Ruth (6/10) and Gehrig (6-7/10) are among the best. The ball is in excellent condition showing few signs of use along with some light general soiling. A marvelous showpiece for fans of American and Japanese baseball alike. Includes a full LOA from JSA. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
