Goldsmith College League baseball signed by 28 members of the 1934 New York Yankees, including Hall of Fame Triple Crown winner Lou Gehrig. Ball was probably signed during Spring training due to several minor league players who did not play for the big club that year. Players are: Ed Brayton, Earle Combs(HOF), Frank Crosetti, Jim DeShong, Bill Dickey(HOF), M. Duke, Art Fletcher, Lou Gehrig(HOF), Jim C. Hagan, Don Heffner, Myril Hoag, Paul Krichell, Joe McCarthy(HOF)(SS), Red Rolfe, Mark Roth, Red Ruffing, Jake Ruppert, George Uhle, Dixie Walker, Harry Smythe, and Vito Tamulis. 6 are unidentified due to lightness of signature. Signatures range from about 2-7/10 with most in 5-6/10. Gehrig is 5-6/10. Ball has soiled lightly evenly. A CLUBHOUSE Babe Ruth and Lefty Gomez are also present on stamping.
