This 1934 New York Yankee team signed Official American League (Harridge) baseball holds 15 remarkably bold ink signatures. Babe Ruth's jet black signature (9/10) projects magnificently from its familiar sweet spot position while Lou Gehrig has offered not one but two examples of his coveted autograph on adjacent panels. Gehrig’s gracious exuberance in signing this ball twice may have been due to the fact that the 1934 season was one of his finest.  Gehrig won the Triple Crown leading the league in batting with at .363 in home runs with 49 and in RBI with 165. This was the last year he and Babe played together with the Yankees as Ruth would join the Boston Braves the next season closing the curtain on the golden age of the Yankees dynasty led by the legendary Ruth/Gehrig duo. The complete list of signatures on the ball includes: Chapman Combs(HOF) Crosetti Dickey(HOF) Fletcher Gehrig(Twice)(HOF)(Triple Crown) Gomez(HOF) MacFayden McCarthy(HOF) Ruffing(HOF) Ruth(HOFSS) Saltzgaver Smythe and one unidentified. In spite of the ball’s evenly soiled surface the outstanding dark ink signatures mostly rate in the 7-9 range highlighted by a blazing sweet spot Ruth (9/10) and two Gehrig's (9/10 and 7/10 respectively).  Includes a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
