This historically significant multi-signed baseball brings together primarily players from the 1934 American League champion Detroit Tigers and one crucial member of the National League champion St. Louis Cardinals. Signed on an Official American League (Barnard) baseball with the distinctive red-and-blue stitching of the era, the spot-toned ball features a compelling roster of seven Hall of Famers including Hank Greenberg, Eddie Collins, Al Simmons, Mickey Cochrane ('34 AL MVP), Chas Gehringer and Goose Goslin of the Tigers, along with Dizzy Dean of the Cardinals. Additional Tigers recognized are Schoolboy Rowe, Pete Fox, Jo-Jo White, Marv Owen, Elden Auker, Billy Rogell and Chief Hogsett for a grand total of 19 signatures all done in black fountain ink. A "Oct 6 / 34" notation, which was Game 4 of the 1934 World Series between the Tigers and Cardinals, is written in an unknown hand, according to James Spence Authentication.

The '34 Fall Classic pitting the "Gas House Gang" Cardinals against Mickey Cochrane's Tigers remains one of the decade's most memorable, with Cards ace Dizzy Dean ultimately getting the last laugh after blanking the Tigers' bats with a complete-game shutout in the deciding Game 7. The ball displays noticeable age-related toning consistent with its 92-year vintage — a remarkable survival considering the fragility of baseballs from this era. Each signature reflects the penmanship of a golden age of baseball.

Accompanied by a JSA letter of authenticity. For collectors of vintage multi-signed pieces and Depression-era baseball, this is an extraordinary artifact.
